lieutenant governor

Hello Kangaroos! I would like to introduce myself to you as your Lieutenant Governor for this 2018-19 term. This year I am an incoming junior at Merced High School. I play the piccolo, as well as the piano, in Merced's marching, pep, and concert bands. Swimming, water polo, tennis are the sports that I play and I also love Grey's Anatomy! My favorite service project is helping with the rose float decoration in Pasadena. I joined Key Club freshman year in search of a new activity that I could join. In my opinion, leadership is nothing more than a position of responsibility, not a position of power. In other words, the only difference between a, for instance, Lt. Governor and a member is additional responsibilities. I will reflect my term as Lt. Governor with such a view in mind. I value teamwork above all else, as it has a hundred times more potential to succeed than what an individual can. Moreover, I regard communication a very important keystone in teamwork. Without communication, a team cannot function properly. Our division is the team, and I will strive to maintain constant and precise communication with all of you.

news editor

Hello, I'm Daniel and I first joined Key Club when my friend, Jareth Thor, informed me about it. I kept coming to how enjoyable it all was. I decided to be Division News Editor due to how important it is to share information about the club and insure people get more motivated to get into events. Overall I'm just a quiet guy that tries to help others the best I can. "But there never seems to be enough time to do the things you want to do once you find them" - Jim Croce.

DLT Responisbilities

LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR

The Lieutenant Governor (LTG) is elected to lead and represent us as Division 46 South. The LTG serves as a representative between the high school clubs in our division and the district board. In addition to fulfilling the responsibilities of a Key Club member, the LTG must visit each of the clubs they serve, publish a monthly divisional newsletter, hold regular DCMs (District Council Meeting) and OCMs (Officer Council Meeting), collaborate with other LTGs to organize training conferences, and keep in contact their with clubs, district executive board, and Kiwanis counterparts. A LTG may initiate community service projects to help the members of the division become more involved and creates a division leadership team to delegate some of these responsibilities.

Executive Assistant

The Executive Assistant (EA) serves as a “go to person” when the LTG is in need of assistance. However, the EA does not only assist the LTG when he/she needs it. It is his/her duty to submit monthly reports to the LTG, plan and organize division events, keep regular contact with our club officers, and organize the point system for the clubs in our division.

Division News Editor

The Division News Editor (DNE) creates the monthly division newsletters, which can be seen in the Newsletter tab. The DNE will cooperate with all of the clubs in our division to gather articles and visuals. All division events will be promoted by the DNE as well.

Division Tech Editor

The Division Tech Editor (DTE) publicizes division activities on several means of media, representing the division with appropriate content and images. This includes our Instagram, Snapchat, and this website. You can find our social media accounts on our Homepage. The DTE will take quality pictures/videos and upload them to our different forms of media. All division events will be promoted by the DTE.

Head spirit coordinator/Spirit coordinators

The Head Spirit Coordinator (SC) will maintain, regulate and contain division spirit! Multiple Spirit Coordinators, a team, will be appointed by the Head Spirit Coordinator. Together, everyone will have to work as a team to increase division spirit. Icebreakers and activities will be planned for all of the DCMs, as well as creating new cheers. It is also the Head Spirit Coordinator's job to design and purchase all division attire.

Service project coordinator

The Task Coordinator (TC) will work with the Lieutenant Governor to plan and organize service projects. The TC supports our local communities and advises our clubs on how to find service projects. It is the TC's job to promote Division projects and contact organizations to present ideas back to our DLT.

FUNDRAISING COORDINATOR

The Fundraising Coordinator (FC) will work with the Lieutenant Governor to plan and organize fundraisers for our division. The Fundraising Coordinator is similar to the Service Project Coordinator, however, the FC plans fundraisers. Money from these fundraisers will go to non-profit organizations, such as PTP, and will help our division pay for food/events/spirit ware.
